Learn moreBefore your AI voice agent calls a lead, AutoVator asks them on WhatsApp, in your own business name. Every YES, NO, STOP and START is stored as permanent, hash-chained evidence, and only people who said YES are handed to your AI call campaigns, one by one, when the calling rules allow it.
| When | Number | Event | Channel | Their words |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 14:21 | +1 512 ••• 0142 | Agreed | “Yes, you can call me” | |
| 14:08 | +1 617 ••• 7781 | Put on do-not-call | AI call | “Please don’t call me again” |
| 13:55 | +1 415 ••• 2290 | Said NO | “No thanks” | |
| 13:40 | +1 305 ••• 4410 | Withdrew consent | “STOP” |
Consent comes before the call, and every answer is kept. Nothing reaches your AI agent without a valid YES.
Your leads receive a WhatsApp question in your own business name: may our AI assistant call you? They reply YES or NO.
Every answer is saved, in the person’s own words, as evidence that cannot be changed.
AI call campaigns only call people who said YES, one by one, at legal hours in their time zone.
STOP, NO and the do-not-call list are always honoured, on WhatsApp and during calls.
The question names your business, says what the calls are about and that they may use an AI voice, and links to your privacy page. Every change to the text creates a new version; old versions are kept.
Replies are matched to the question they answer. Anything unclear gets one polite request to reply YES or NO.
| They reply | What it means | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| YES | They agree to calls from your AI voice agent | They can be called by your AI call campaigns. The consent is valid for 12 months by default; a NO later withdraws it. |
| NO | They decline AI calls | They are not called by the AI, and not asked again for a long time (180 days by default). |
| STOP | They want no more messages or calls | Every call and message stops at once, calls already waiting are cancelled and the number joins your do-not-call list. |
| START | They undo their own STOP | Messages are allowed again, but they must say YES again before any AI call. A number your team added stays blocked. |
Only people with a valid YES are handed to your AI call campaigns, one at a time, and only when every rule allows the call at that moment.
| Campaign | Status | Progress | Hours |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solar quote follow-up | Running | 212 of 640 | 08:00 to 20:00 local |
| Spring check-in | Paused | 88 of 300 | 08:00 to 20:00 local |
| Webinar reminder | Draft | 0 of 150 | 08:00 to 20:00 local |
Each consent event is stored with the person’s own words, the exact question they answered, the time and the channel. The records are chained by hash: each one carries a fingerprint of the one before it.

WhatsApp campaigns, the inbox and AI calls all skip every number on the list, whatever channel the stop came from.
Added automatically, in any reasonable form of the word. Only the person can undo it, by writing START.
Tick the do-not-call tool on your AI agent: when someone asks during a call, the agent adds them to the list and ends the call politely.
Add a number with a reason, for example after a phone call or an email. Taking a number off keeps its history as evidence.
If you also call from another dialer or CRM, it can ask AutoVator right before dialing. The answer is yes or no, with a reason, and the calling hours in that person’s time zone.

In many places, calling someone with an AI voice needs their prior consent. AI call consent collects that agreement on WhatsApp, in your own business name, keeps the proof, and makes sure your AI agent only calls the people who agreed.
A WhatsApp message like this: “[Your business]: may we call you at this number about [what the calls are about]? Our calls may use an AI voice assistant (an artificial voice) and automated technology. Reply YES to agree or NO to decline. Agreeing is not a condition of buying anything. You can reply STOP at any time. Privacy: [your privacy page]”. After YES, NO or STOP they receive a short confirmation.
12 months by default, and you can set a shorter time. The consent list shows who expires in the next 30 days, so you can ask them again before it ends.
Publish the do-not-call tool in Settings and tick it on each AI agent used for these calls. When a person asks not to be called again, the agent adds them to your do-not-call list, thanks them and ends the call. It counts like a STOP on WhatsApp.
Yes. Create a key in Connect dialer or CRM. Right before dialing, your system asks “may I call this number now?” and gets yes or no, with a reason and the calling hours in that time zone. Each yes counts as one call attempt in the daily limit, and your system can report “do not call me” requests back.
No. AutoVator keeps your own do-not-call list and your consent evidence. It does not check national or state registries. Have a lawyer review your consent text and calling plan before your first campaign.
For US and Canadian numbers the calling hours follow the person’s state or province and time zone; when a state has several time zones, the strictest one wins. Other numbers use their country’s time zone, or a fallback time zone you choose. A number whose time zone is unknown is never called.
The main account of a business that has passed business verification, with a WhatsApp number connected. Sensitive actions, like exporting evidence, changing the consent message, switching the AI dialer on, starting a campaign or creating a key, ask for the password again.
