Google Sheets · Read a row · search by PhoneSara Malik, Family plan

“Hello Sara. I can see you’re on the Family plan. What can I do for you?”Your AI agent

It also handles

  • “Do you have the blue one in size 10?”

It reads the stock sheet and answers with the current quantity.

  • A new enquiry comes in after hours.

It adds a row with name, number and reason, ready for the morning.

Connect Google Sheets in four steps

  1. Prepare your sheet

Use a header row. The column names become the fields the agent understands.

  2. Connect with Google

Choose Google Sheets in the Tools connector and sign in.

  3. Pick the sheet and fields

Select the spreadsheet, the tab, the fields to use and the field to search by.

  4. Test and save

Run a test lookup, check the result, and add the tool to your agent.

FAQ

Google Sheets questions

Still unsure about something? Ask us directly

Does the agent see the latest data?

Yes. It reads the sheet at the moment it needs the information, during the call, so edits your team made a minute ago are included.

Can I limit which columns the agent sees?

Yes. In the “Choose data and fields” step you select the fields the tool may use. Columns you leave out are never sent to the agent.

Is Google Sheets good enough as a database?

For many small businesses, absolutely. When you outgrow it, the same approach works with Airtable, NocoDB, Supabase or MySQL.
