Actions

Check, book, move and cancel, on your terms

Every Google Calendar tool does one of these jobs. Create one tool per job and give your agent only the ones it needs.

Compare permissions across apps

Check availability

Finds free times using your opening hours, so it never offers 7 am on a Sunday.

Create events

Books the appointment with the caller’s name and details in the title or description.

Update events

Moves an appointment to a new time when a caller needs to reschedule.

Cancel events

Cancels when asked, if you allowed it. Many businesses keep this one for staff.

“I can offer 9:00 or 10:30 on Thursday. Which would you like?”Your AI agent

It also handles

  • “I need to push my appointment to next week.”

It finds the event, offers new times and updates it.

  • “Are you open on Saturday?”

It answers from your opening hours without touching the calendar.

FAQ

Google Calendar questions

Still unsure about something? Ask us directly

Should I use Google Calendar or AutoVator Calendar?

If your team already manages appointments in Google Calendar, connect it. If you are starting fresh or want booking rules like gaps between appointments, minimum notice and how many times to offer at once, the built-in AutoVator Calendar is made for that and needs no sign-in. Compare both.

Can the agent see my private meetings?

The agent only works with what its tool allows. An availability tool looks at free and busy times; a read tool sees events in the calendar you connect. Use a dedicated bookings calendar if you want to keep everything else out of reach.

Is signing in with Google safe?

Yes. The connection uses Google’s standard sign-in (OAuth): we never see your Google password, and you can remove access from your Google account whenever you like.
